A name like Toscana Village conjures up images of the Italian Riviera, and this resort definitely makes that come alive. With its Roman style design, columns, arches, cascading pools, and stunning panoramic views over the calm, blue, Coral Sea, you could be forgiven for thinking you were somewhere in the Mediterranean. Set high up on the hillside it's the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment that was very spacious and well appointed, excellent facilities, and very quiet. Everything you need is here, and it's close to everything. Just one thing to mention. Like much of the better accomodation in Airlie, Toscana is located near the top of a very steep hill, which continues even after you enter the property. Worth bearing in mind if you don't have a car and have any difficulty walking. It's an exhausting climb, especially in hot weather. However, it's easy to get a taxi from the bottom, and the drivers don't mind doing the short hop, for about $7.00 -$9.00. Overall, we had a very happy and pleasant stay here, and would definitely consider it again on a return visit to Airlie Beach.
